Mark G. ‘Shake” Kennedy, age 67, of Grayson, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2024, at University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
He was born February 10, 1957, in Grayson, Kentucky, a son of the late Donald Joe Kennedy and Juanita Porter Kennedy.
Mark worked for over 30 years as a dozer operator for surface mining.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister Jill Louanne Burton.
Mark is survived by one his wife of 28 years, Mary Ann Vance Kennedy; two sons, Mark Anthony Kennedy of Webbville, Kentucky, Jamie (Tiffany) Miller of Newburg, Indiana; two daughters, Marcada Renee (Kody) Bond of Greenup, Kentucky, Crystal Rose (Shawn) Sapp of Rogersville, Tennessee; 8 grandchildren, Ella, Remy, Kaenon, Grayson, Harper, Tyler, Chase and Haily; 3 great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Liam, Dawson; two brothers, John Leslie Kennedy of Ashland, Kentucky, Donald Joe Kennedy II of Hitchens, Kentucky; one sister Dinah Jean (Dean) Walters of Ashland, Kentucky; step-mother, Joy Campbell Kennedy; one step-brother, Tim (Patty) Lawson of Grayson, Kentucky; two step-sisters, Terri Lou (Carey) Burchett of Denton, Kentucky and Sherri Miller of Rush, Kentucky; along with many other family and friends that will sadly miss him.
At Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
