Mr. Rodney Austin McCleese, age 43, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Friday, January 13, 2023, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, in Huntington, West Virginia.
He was born Monday, June 18, 1979 in Lansing, Michigan to the late Samuel McCleese.
Rodney was a member of the Upper Trough Camp Christian Holiness Church. He loved old cars, enjoyed fishing, riding 4-wheelers and spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard McCleese and David Allen McCleese, his paternal grandfather, Albert McCleese.
He is survived by his two brothers, Joey McCleese and Sammy McCleese, both of Olive Hill, Kentucky and his maternal grandmother, Cledith McCleese, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, whom raised him, along with a host of other family members and friends who will sadly mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be held 1p.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at Globe Funeral Chapel 17277 West Highway U.S. 60 Olive Hill, Kentucky with Sister Anita Wells officiating. Burial will follow in the McCormick Cemetery in Olive Hill, Kentucky.
Friends may visit at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Kentucky on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 from 11:30a.m. until the service hour.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
