Mr. Walter Cecil Moore age 81 of Morehead, Kentucky passed away Monday, December 6, 2021at his residence.
He was born April 6, 1940 in Elliott County, Kentucky a son of the late Elijah and Arizona Blankenbeckler Moore.
Cecil was a member of Bairtown Church of God. He worked 39 years for Rowan County School System. Cecil loved riding his rail buggie, wood working, gardening, spending time with his family, especially his grandson, Cody.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one grandson, Sheldon Mocabee, five sisters, Annie Lee Wagoner, Opal Barker, Vicie Cox, Martha Randolph and Gladys Justice.
Cecil is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Juanita Stevens Moore, two daughters, Kim (Charles) Mocabee and Melissa (Jimmy) Fraley all of Morehead, Kentucky, one grandson, Cody Mocabee, three brothers, Arlie Ray (Mary) Moore, Johnny (Betty) Moore, Coy (Lovell) Moore all of Elliott County, Kentucky, one sister, Audrey Moore of Boyd County, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be held 12 noon Friday, December 10, 2021 at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Kentucky with Brother Justin Wagoner, Brother Johnny Moore and Brother Elijah Wagoner officiating. Burial will follow in the Roe Cemetery on Boggs Road in Elliott County, Kentucky.
Friends may visit from 10:30 until the service hour Friday, December 10, 2021 at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Kentucky.
Cody Mocabee, Jimmy Fraley, Mark Stevens, Mark Fraley, Eugene Randolph and Randy Moore will serve as pallbearers.
Charles Mocabee will serve as honorary pallbearer.
