1948-2021
Mr. William Edward Johnson, age 72, of Grayson, Kentucky, passed away Saturday morning, March 13, 2021, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky.
He was born March 18, 1948, in Montgomery County, Kentucky, the son of the late Ezra and Goldie Sue Sargent Johnson.
William proudly served our country in the United States Army, was of the Christian faith and was a retired truck driver. He enjoyed working at the sawmill, being outdoors, and spending time with his family and friends.
William is survived by his wife, Glenna Sammons Johnson; two sons, William Eddie Johnson of Grayson, Kentucky, and Gregory Johnson of Brandenburg, Kentucky; two daughters, Nickie Hay of Lexington, Kentucky, and Billie Howard of Grayson, Kentucky; six grandchildren, MaKaila Jae Johnson, Clara Mae Howard, Anthony Johnson, Hannah Hay, Chance Hay, and Reanna Kitchen; three great grandchildren; two sisters, M. Sue and Harvey Kiesel of Dayton, Ohio, and Linda and Juan Muniz of Florida; and a very special niece, Becky Hall and family. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Grayson Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Grayson, Kentucky, with Brother Kenny Hall and Brother Tim Porter officiating. After the service, full military honors will be presented by the Olive Hill American Legion Post No. 138. Interment will follow in the Johnson Cemetery in Elliott County, Kentucky.

Eddie Johnson, Jeff Porter, Jake Hall, Timmy Bramell, Joe Hall and Bufford Chriswell will serve as pallbearers. Trigger Porter, Dwight Atkins and Denny Sexton will serve as honorary pallbearers.
