LLOYD – East Carter opened the soccer season last Tuesday with a 10-0 shellacking of Greenup County.
The Raiders were in total control. The game ended early due to the 10-point rule.
East shutout Greenup County twice last season by 10-0 scores. Greenup County scored only six goals last season and was shutout 13 times.
The defending 16th Region champion Raiders were led by the Ethans.
Ethan Miller led the charge with four goals and an assist.
Ethan McDowell was credited with two goals, while Ethan Tiller scored one time and added an assist.
Noah Stone, Gage Erwin and Ashton Tiller found the back of the net once each. Ashton Tiller also handed out an assist.
The Raiders had three other assists, one each by Treven Tussey, Isaac Boggs and Logan Cales.
Starting goalie Trevor Cline turned away the only shot Greenup County put on goal. Reserve Brent Sargent was untested.
