LLOYD – The Lady Raiders opened their season on Tuesday with a 10-0 shutout of Greenup County.

The game was fairly competitive over the first 20 minutes.

Although East dominated the field position and peppered shots toward the goal, the Lady Raiders led only 3-0.

The Greenup County goalkeeper had several saves and several East shots were just off line.

The East defense kept the hosts bottled up in their end of the field for most of the game. Rather than the back of the East defense staying between the mid-field line, the defenders crowded into the Musketeer’s half of the field. For most of the game, the Lady Musketeers were not strong enough to kick the ball clear of their own territory.

East closed out the first half on a run. That run continued on into the second half and an early end to the game due to the 10-point mercy rule.

Both Darian Wallace and Alyssa Stickler had hat tricks for the Lady Raiders. Both also added an assist.

Hannah Kelley added a pair of goals, while Makenzie Burnett and Avery Hall found the back of the net one time each. Burnett also assisted on a score.

Bailey Withrow dished out three assists. Sydney Bush and Isabella Poskas had an assist each.
