Mrs. Letha Opal Buckler Arthurs, age 86, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Saturday evening, December 5, 2020, at Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, Kentucky.
She was born October 5, 1934, in Carter County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late John and Fannie Stephens Buckler.
Letha was a member of the Flat Fork Church of God and she was a homemaker. She enjoyed going to church and spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 23 years, Wilbur Paul Tommy Arthurs; one son, Thomas Eddie Arthurs; one grandson, Tommy Arthurs; two infant great grandchildren; two brothers, John Buckler Jr. and Howard Buckler; and four sisters, Lucille Sampson, Bertha Cordell, Pauline Conn, and Rosa Albert.
Letha is survived by two daughters, Lou Logan (Ronald) of Olive Hill, Kentucky, and Juanita Garris of Radcliff, Kentucky; one granddaughter whom she raised, Letha “Ann” Wilburn of Berea, Kentucky; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; one brother, Robert Buckler (Shirley), both of Olive Hill, Kentucky; one sister, Phyllis Taylor of Olive Hill, Kentucky; and one sister-in-law, Glenna Buckler of Olive Hill, Kentucky. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
A private graveside service will be held Saturday, December 12, 2020, at the Bradley Cemetery in Olive Hill, Kentucky, with Brother James Darren Taylor officiating.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
