Mr. Buell “Buck” Stevens, age 85, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky.
He was born June 3, 1935, in Carter County, Kentucky, a son of the late Russell and Vida Brown Stevens.
Buck was a member and deacon of the Dry Branch Church of God and he served on the Church of God standing committee. He was a member of the Olive Hill Masonic Lodge # 629. Buck loved old cars and trucks and he enjoyed going to church and spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife of 26 years, Patty Ann Smith Stevens; one daughter, Kim Brown; one brother, Danny Stevens; and seven sisters, Sharon Stevens, Wanda Stevens, Augustine Bailey James, Helen Fultz, Irene Fultz, Willadean Oney and Ella Ann Barker.
Buck is survived by his second wife of 35 years, Eula Gee Brown Stevens; three sons, Craig Brown (Teresa) and Doug Brown (Jana), all of Olive Hill, Kentucky, and John Brown of Ashland, Kentucky; three daughters, Kim Roe (Charles) of Globe, Kentucky, Teresa Douglas (Jimmy) of Olive Hill, Kentucky, and Beverly Thompson (Darrell) of Morehead, Kentucky; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and three sisters, Hope Porter (Ed) of Olive Hill, Kentucky, Phoebe Frazier (Curt) of Columbus, Ohio, and Brenda Yoak (Bob) of Grayson, Kentucky. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
A private graveside service will be held Sunday, December 13, 2020, at the Olive Hill Memorial Park in Olive Hill, Kentucky, with Brother Clifford Price and Brother Gayle Price officiating.
Bill Bradley, Mark Burton, Sam Douglas, Randall Conn, Mark Cline and Danny Waddell will serve as pallbearers.
