Correction

Correction: Last week we had a byline slip through the was incorrect. The byline for Jeremy D. Wells was accidentally placed on a story written by Charles Romans – Exploring Backroads of Appalachia. The error was caught and corrected before the story was posted online, but not before the early proof of the paper was approved and sent to the printers. That means in the print edition the story was incorrectly attributed to Jeremy instead of to Charles. We made a mistake, and we apologize to the readers and to Charles. We’ve created some new file saving conventions to minimize the risk of this happening again.
