We have programs!

Diane Wingert

Carter County Public Library

So, we have jumped in and started our programming. I am happy to announce Kimi Oney as our home school group coordinator. She is holding meetings every Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Olive Hill Branch. She is trying to get members to show up and give her some ideas of what you, as a home school parent or student, might need. We at the library will be glad to get what we can for you to enhance your home school program. Just come by and talk to Kimi.

We are also having game night on the second Monday of each month at 5 p.m. at the Olive Hill Branch Library. Bring your games if you want, but definitely bring your family for games, snacks, and a lot of fun.

Our specials coordinator, Nancy Jane Wingert, will be having a Thanksgiving Feast on November 17 at 5 p.m. at the Olive Hill Branch of the library. We will have a book reading and an activity for those, young or old, that want to join the fun, then we will feast. We are having a Pot Luck Thanksgiving. So bring a dish and plan to enjoy the evening.

Another program scheduled for our Grayson Branch Library is a meeting of the local Girl Scout Troop. The meetings are being coordinated by Sara Burton. She will be having meetings on the second Wednesday of each month, at 5:30 p.m., and the last Monday, at 6:30 p.m.. You can contact Sara at (606) 225-7748 to learn more about this wonderful program.

The Old Book Lady is so proud of the awesome people that have come on board to provide our great communities with some really amazing programming. We can still use some more ideas if anyone would like to call the library, at (606) 286-8070 and voice your suggestions.

We look forward to seeing you at one or all of our planned events. Keep looking for more exciting programming coming from our Carter County Libraries.
