King’s Daughters Primary Care and Pediatrics Grayson hosting walk-in flu shot clinic Oct. 14

GRAYSON, Ky.— King’s Daughters Primary Care and Pediatrics Grayson, 100 Bellefonte Drive, is hosting a walk-in flu vaccine clinic 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14.

 Vaccines will be available for those ages 6 months and older. Vaccination cost will be billed to insurance. Cost for self-pay patients is $27; cash, checks and credit cards welcome. Participants do not have to be patients in the practices to participate.

 A food drive for the Carter County Schools Backpack Program will also take place during the clinic. The program provides food to students in need for weekends and school breaks.

 Donations of non-perishable food items would be appreciated, including:

  • Ramen noodle cups
  • Pudding cups
  • Fruit cups
  • Pop-Tarts
  • Vienna sausages
  • Cereal cups
  • Cookies
  • Crackers

 “This is a wonderful opportunity to protect your family from the flu while also giving back to our community,” said Lisa Ashley, director of primary care practices at King’s Daughters.

 Masks are required and social distancing will be observed. Medicare, Medicaid and most insurances accepted.

 The COVID bivalent booster will also be available during the flu shot clinic. Individuals age 12 and older who have completed their primary series are eligible for the booster. The booster and the flu vaccine can be given at the same time. No appointment needed. A parent or legal guardian must be present to provide consent for those under 18.
