Confusion Solution

When you are looking to buy things to help you get organized, stop and think before your shop; because you may just already have what you need right in your own home.

That’s right! This is a great way to save some dollars and take advantage of items that could be used in another capacity. Thrift store shopping also offers pre-owned items that cost less and that, with some little fixes, can become special additions to any home.

Here are some cost saving ideas.

  1. Old dressers can easily be converted to storage as a buffet or toy storage.
  2. Turned on its side, bookshelves are great for plants or as an entertainment center.
  3. Ladders that are painted to match a room’s decor are perfect for books or whatever items you want to display.
  4. I turned an unused wire paper sorter into a divider for my plastic lids.
  5. If you don’t want plastic storage and are looking for more decorative options, baskets, boxes, or bowls are perfect for counter tops, throws, toys, or just about anything.
  6. Decorative totes are another way to store plastic bags.
  7. Turn plastic storage containers into table tops by using mirrors or glass over decorative throws to hide those utilitarian pieces.

There are so many things that can be reused for storage. Just look around for objects that could have multiple uses. Save a with a little ingenuity and see what you can come up with.

It’s as simple as that!
