Confusion Solution
This is the perfect time to start your preparations for traveling the USA. Since our country is celebrating 250 years of freedom this summer, what better way to spend your vacation than to visit some of America’s historical sites? Whether you plan for a weekend get-away or a two week journey, doing some research before your trip through history is an exciting adventure in itself.
Start by looking in your own backyard. You will find that your community offers events in commemoration that you can take advantage of locally. Research other states and activities for those longer trips. Search for museums, historical markers, battlefields, and travel bureaus to find out what’s happening around the country and what accommodations will be available and book early.
As you research, decide what you will need to take with you. For short ventures, take good walking shoes and layers for those cooler evenings and air conditioned events. Longer trips mean packing for extended stays and making sure you take clothing items that are appropriate for the locations you want to visit. Don’t forget to take water and snacks and keep in mind that not everyone takes credit cards, so take along some cash.
Give yourself time to explore this amazing country, our country. Learn about our history while you travel and reacquaint yourself with those things that remind us of how far we have come. Everything that has happened in the past has bearing on what we do today. Remember those who came before us and sacrificed for our freedom.
It’s as simple as that!
