Confusion Solution
I have been creating a list that I feel I must pass on to you. It has been so helpful for when I’ve completed major cleaning or repairs and just want to focus on small areas of my home that I have neglected.
So, I started walking around my house really looking at things I not only should do, but looking for areas I would enjoy doing. For instance; in my living room I have a fireplace with no mantel and a front door that sticks making it hard to open and close. In the bedroom, I need one of those covers for the wall, so the doorknob doesn’t damage it, and there’s a mirror that wants to be hung.
I’ve made a list of these things and more to remind me to buy what I need when I’m out and have a few extra dollars to spend, or when I have a little extra time to make a change. Even though these are small items, to me, they are necessary for adding some finishing touches to my home.
It’s actually a fun project without the urgency that comes with fixing a plumbing or electrical issue. Yes, it’s just another list; but unlike your grocery list, your Christmas list, and your list of contacts, the difference is it doesn’t require a schedule or much time. So, just go ahead and make one more list. Knock off those little, unnoticeable tasks and make a list that is designed to provide you with quick satisfying feelings of accomplishment.
It’s as simple as that!
