An Olive Hill man was arrested last Tuesday after a warrant was issued on charges related to materials portraying child sexual abuse.

Kentucky State Police from Post 14, in Ashland, arrested Danny Webb, 67, of Olive Hill on multiple charges.

Webb was arrested following an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation, conducted by the Kentucky State Police and Ashland Police Department. They began their investigation after discovering that Webb had uploaded “images of child exploitation online,” according to a release

As a result of that investigation, police executed a search warrant at Webb’s residence in Olive Hill on December 14. Devices and equipment used to distribute the material was seized at the time and taken to the Ashland Police Department for examination. Search results on items seized indicated Webb “was in possession of multiple electronic images depicting child sexual abuse.”

Webb was charged with one count of distribution of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor under the age of 12, and ten counts of possession and/or viewing matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor under the age of 12.

The investigation is currently ongoing, under the direction of Detective David Boarman of the Kentucky State Police.
