Weekly arrest report: 4/21/21

The following individuals were arrested and booked into the Carter County Detention Center over the past week. This list includes local arrests only. It does not include federal inmates being housed at or transported through the detention center. 

  • Kevin Carroll, 31, of Grayson, self-surrender, booked on April 12.
  • Gregory Hall, age and address unknown, arrested by Kentucky State Police, near Olive Hill, on charges of first degree fleeing or evading police, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving on a DUI suspended license – first offense, and operating a motor vehicle under the influence, arrested on April 12. 
  • Ronald Amburgey, 54, of Portsmouth, arrested by Greenup County Sheriff Department, on charges of flagrant non-support and failure to appear, arrested and booked on April 13. 
  • Derrick Ison, 31, of Grayson, arrested by Grayson PD, on charges of indecent exposure, first degree, first offense, arrested and booked on April 13. 
  • James Smith, 22, of Huntington, arrested by Grayson PD, on charges of first-degree wanton endangerment and falsely reporting an incident, arrested April 13, booked April 14. 
  • Walter Limings, 48, of Grayson, arrested by Kentucky State Police, on charges of careless driving, rear license not illuminated, failure to wear seat belts, failure to produce insurance card, no registration receipt, driving on a DUI suspended license – second offense, and failure to appear, arrested and booked on April 15. 
  • Aaron Martin, 32, of Grayson, arrested by Grayson PD, on charges of second-degree burglary, arrested and booked on April 15. 
  • Dawson Thornton, 18, of Grayson, arrested by Carter County Sheriff Department, on charges of second-degree burglary, fourth-degree assault with minor injury, and third-degree terroristic threatening, arrested and booked on April 16. 
  • Donnie Jefferson, 33, of Huntington, arrested by Grayson PD, on charges of disregarding traffic control device or traffic light, first degree fleeing or evading of police, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana, no operators-moped license, and operating a motor vehicle under the influence, arrested and booked on April 16. 
  • Delmas Harris, Jr., 24, of Olive Hill, arrested by Carter County Sheriff Department, on charges of second-degree assault, non-payment of court costs, fees, or fines, and failure to appear, arrested and booked on April 16. 
  • Virgil McDavid, 44, of Grayson, arrested by Grayson PD, on charges of driving on a DUI suspended license – second offense, arrested and booked on April 19. 

All of the charges listed are arrest charges only, and do not indicate an indictment or a conviction for the charges in question. All subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
