Mrs. June Garon Henderson Clark Garvin, age 85, of Olive Hill, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at her residence.
She was born June 27, 1937 in Carter County, Kentucky a daughter of the late James and Lillian Miller Henderson.
June attended James Chapel Community Holiness Church. She loved going to church, reading her bible and playing with her dog, Jake.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her first husband of nine years, Arthur Clark; her second husband of thirty-nine years, Willie “Bill” Garvin; one daughter-in-law, Diana Stone Clark; two brothers, Kyle Henderson and Darward Henderson; one sister, Sharon Teague.
She is survived by two sons, Dale Clark of Vanceburg, Kentucky, Darryl (Theresa) Garvin of Olive Hill, Kentucky; five daughters, Rhonda (Roger) Paynter, Freida (James) Rivers, Kim (Keith) Hargett, Pam Garvin, Lori (Scott) Gilliam all of Olive Hill, Kentucky; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; one brother, Ronnie Henderson of Louisville, Kentucky; three sisters, Venna Henderson of Louisville, Kentucky, Lorelei Bramble of Tennessee and Debbie Deweese of Louisville, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 W US Hwy 60 in Olive Hill, Kentucky with Brother Darryl Garvin officiating. Burial will follow in the Olive Hill Memory Gardens in Olive Hill, Kentucky.
Friends may visit from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, September 23, 2022 at Globe Funeral Chapel and after 9 a.m. on Saturday until the service hour.
BJ Garvin, Anthony Garvin, Matthew Bond, Hunter Gilliam, Roger Paynter Jr., Ronnie Henderson and Scott Gilliam will serve as pallbearers.
Rodney Evans, Wayne Stamper, Keith Hargett, James Rivers, Dale Clark and Roger Paynter Sr. will serve as honorary pallbearers.
