Mrs. Marcella Mae Day Conn, age 86, of Olive Hill, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at her residence.
She was born Wednesday, July 29, 1936 in Carter County, Kentucky a daughter of the late Charlie and Bernice Clevenger Day.
Marcella attended Providence Freewill Baptist Church. She loved going to church, reading her bible, gardening and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-five years, Ed Conn; two grandchildren, Chris Conn and Erin Howard; two brothers, Vernon Day and William Day; five sisters, Juanita White, Justine Hogge, Jeanette Barnhart, Fredia Girman and Vivian Mocabee; one sister-in-law, Syble Crider Simpson.
She is survived by two sons, David (Vickie) Conn and Gary (Peggy) Conn both of Olive Hill, Kentucky; two daughters, Sonja (Dean) Buckner of Vanceburg, Kentucky and Rita (Aaron) Burton of Webbville, Kentucky; eight grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at Globe Funeral Chapel 17277 W US Hwy 60 in Olive Hill, Kentucky with Brother Mike Hatton and Brother Bob Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Olive Hill Memory Gardens in Olive Hill, Kentucky.
Friends may visit from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, September 26, 2022 and after 9 a.m. on Tuesday at Globe Funeral Chapel until the service hour.
David Conn, Gary Conn, Joseph Carroll, Eric Burton, Corey Frasier and Michael Robinson will serve as pallbearers.
