Randell Nichols, age 64, of Tick Ridge, in Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Friday, June 16, 2023, at St. Mary’s Hosptial in Huntington, West Virginia surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Sunday, June 22, 1958, in Rowan County, Kentucky, a son of Mary Doris Goodman Nichols and the late Thirl Nichols.
Randell loved to farm, cutting timber and firewood, working in his garden, fishing, playing horseshoes and corn hole, and spending time with his children and grandchildren and especially giving everyone a hard time.
Randell is survived by three sons, Shelby (Erica) Nichols, Shannon (Amanda) Nichols and Randy (Shawnte) Nichols all of Olive Hill, Kentucky; one daughter, Miranda (Nicky) Burton of Olive Hill, Kentucky; nine grandchildren, Isaac, Kelsey, Landon, Aden, MaKenna, Mason, Peyton, Avery and Colin; two great grandchildren, Kendall and Paisley; the mother of his children, Garnet Rayburn Nichols; three brothers, Stanley (Donetta) Nichols of Olive Hill, Kentucky, Darryl Nichols of Ashland, Kentucky, Stacy Nichols of Olive Hill, Kentucky; three sisters, Marlene (Terry) Reynolds, Sue James, Tawana (Dewayne) Johnson all of Olive Hill, Kentucky, along with many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
Shelby Nichols, Shannon Nichols, Randy Nichols, Isaac Nichols, Landon Nichols, Aden Nichols, Mason Nichols, Peyton Nichols, Nicky Burton and Colin Burton will serve as pallbearers.
Randell’s granddaughters and his two sisters, Marlene, and Sue will serve as honorary pallbearers.
