Sherry Lee Blevins Phillips, age 66, of Grayson, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2026, at UK-King’s Daughter Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Wednesday, October 30,1959, in Boyd County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Ora and Francis Sue Sturgill Carroll.
Sherry enjoyed cooking and caring for her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Ronald Utley and one nephew, Randy Utley.
Sherry is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Owen Trent Phillips; Johnathan Berry of Grayson, Kentucky, Josh Berry of Tennessee, Rodney (Christina) Utley of Olive Hill, Kentucky whom she thought of as her sons; Ronda (Nick) Wilburn of Grayson, Kentucky, Brandie (Derrick) Kinney of Olive Hill, Kentucky, whom she thought of as her own daughters; one brother, Rick (Cheri) Blevins of Grahn, Kentucky; one sister-in-law, Sue Utley of Grayson, Kentucky; great nieces and nephews, whom she thought of as her grandchildren, Wesley Wilburn, Shyann Wilburn, Roy Utley, Ella Utley, David (Nadalee) Utley, Kaylee Kinney, Tanner Kinney, Lila Kinney and Caroline Kinney, along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at Globe Funeral Chapel 17277 West US Hwy 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky, with Brother Mike Bryant and Brother William Logan Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Biggs Hill Cemetery in Olive Hill.
Friends may visit from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Monday, October 5, 2026, and after 9 a.m., Tuesday, October 6, 2026, until the service hour at the funeral home.
Dale Sturgill, Nick Wilburn, Rodney Utley, David Utley, Johnathan Berry and Derrick Kinney will serve as pallbearers.
