Mr. Bennie Joseph Seagraves, age 91, of Oregon, Ohio passed away at his residence, Sunday, March 19, 2023.
He was born February 12, 1932 in Carter County, Kentucky, a son of the late Noah and Ethel Mullins Seagraves.
Bennie proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was of Baptist Faith. He enjoyed gardening, University of Kentucky basketball, Cincinnati Reds baseball and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-eight years, Helen Erwin Seagraves; two sons, Scott Seagraves and Chris Seagraves; one great-grandson, Baby James; four brothers, Charles Seagraves, J.C. Seagraves, R.C. Seagraves, and Bob Seagraves; two sisters, Hattie Elizabeth Seagraves and Hildreth Anna Seagraves.
Bennie is survived by one daughter, Cindy (John) Hernandez of Oregon, Ohio; three granddaughters, Stephanie, Lisa, and Toni; four great-granddaughters, Karena, Kaylee, Mariah, and Aleah; one brother, Curtis (Georgia) Seagraves of Olive Hill, Kentucky; along with many other family and friends that will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m., Friday, March 24, 2023 at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 US Hwy. 60 West, Olive Hill, Kentucky with Brother David Rayburn officiating. Burial will follow in the McFarren Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 12 noon until the service hour on Friday, March 24, 2023 at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Kentucky.
Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
