Mrs. Betty Evelyn Stafford Watson, age 93, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2023, in the Ohio Hospice of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio.
She was born March 21, 1930, in Carter County, Kentucky, to the late James Milton and Nellie Evans Stafford.
Betty was a member of the Methodist Church. She was a very outgoing and caring lady, that always worried about the homeless. She enjoyed catering and volunteering at the thrift store and spending time with her friends.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Charles W. Watson Jr.; three brothers, Ralph Stafford, James Stafford Jr., Leroy Stafford; two sisters, Enith Stafford and Lousie Mashburn.
Betty is survived by one son and daughter in law, Ralph and Joni Watson of Kettering, Ohio; two daughters, Nancy Jordan of Kettering, Ohio and Belinda Watson of Dayton, Ohio; one granddaughter, Rachel Watson of Kettering, Ohio; one sister, Bonnie Fultz of Olive Hill, Kentucky, along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss her.
Graveside services will be held 1 p.m., Thursday, June 8, 2023, at the Watson Cemetery in Olive Hill, Kentucky with Brother James Corbin Stafford officiating. Burial will follow in the Watson Cemetery.
Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
