Cheryl Marie Allen Vanhorn, 56, of Denton passed away Monday, October 3, 2022 at the Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland. Cheryl was born April 3, 1966 in Hazard, KY a daughter of Thella Mae Church Allen of Denton and the late, Robert Daniel Allen.
Cheryl was a caregiver for many years. Cheryl was known for her contagious personality, being kindhearted and an all-around selfless person. Cheryl loved taking care of her animals and working in her flower garden.
In addition to her mother, Cheryl is survived by five daughters, Ashly Vanhorn of CT, Tammie Griggs of Louisa, KY, Carressa Wright of West Liberty, KY, Peyton Vanhorn and Nikki Vanhorn both of Denton; a son, Billy Vanhorn of Carter County, KY; numerous grandchildren; a sister, Kelly (Tonia) Berry of Denton; two brothers, Johnny (Carol) Allen of Denton and James(Stephanie Cook) Allen of Hitchins; a special friend, William Scott Huling; and several nieces, nephews, friends and extended family who all mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be 1 pm Friday, October 7, 2022 at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with Bro. Lowell Elliott officiating. Burial will follow in the Allen Family Cemetery.
