Donald Ray Skaggs, 87, of Webbville, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Saturday, February 18, 1939, a son of the late John and Monnie Ward Skaggs.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Marguerite Blair Skaggs; one sister, Sandra Rights; four half brothers, Nile, Woodrow, Homer and Hargas; and three half sisters, Anna, Dixie and Peggy; best friend and nephew, Ronnie Bentley.
Don was a chemist. He managed several medical laboratories and co-founded a laboratory supply business until retirement.
He was a member of Maranatha Bible Church in Webbville, Kentucky. He was an avid gardener and loved to watch UK football.
He is survived by two sons, Don (Arenja) Skaggs of Lexington, John (Marti) Skaggs of Webbville, Kentucky; one special nephew, Michael (Bouchra) Rights of Morocco; and many other family, friends and pets that will miss him.
There will be a private service to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Maranatha Bible Church.
