Mrs. Glorious Evelyn Dixon Hensley, age 93, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Monday, October 10, 2022 at Elliott Nursing and Rehabilitation in Elliott County, Kentucky.
She was born Friday, March 29, 1929, in Carter County, Kentucky, to the late Harry and Lula Adkins Dixon.
Glorious was a member of Olive Hill United Methodist Church for more than 50 years. She enjoyed singing, cooking, reading and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Paul Hensley Jr.; one daughter, Theresa Hensley; four brothers, Earl Dixon, Merle Dixon, Bill Dixon, Gene Dixon; two sisters, Opal Parish and Marie Rose.
Glorious is survived by one daughter and son in law, Karen and Hal Bledsoe of Olive Hill, Kentucky; five grandchildren Sandra York, Jason Fannin, Christopher Bledsoe, Andrew Bledsoe, Abigail Thornsberry; eight great-grandchildren, Caitlyn Bledsoe, Ella Fannin, Ethan Bledsoe, Emily York, Claire Fannin, Xander Thornsberry, Autumn Thornsberry, Meadow Thornsberry; one sister, Alberta Jones of Grayson, Kentucky, along with many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, October 14, 2022 at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Kentucky with her grandson, Christopher Bledsoe and Brother John Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in Garvin Ridge Cemetery in Olive Hill, Kentucky.
Friends may visit after 10 a.m. on Friday, October 14, 2022 until the service hour at Globe Funeral Chapel Kentucky, 17277 West Highway US 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164.
Jason Fannin, Christopher Bledsoe, Justin Thornsberry, Andrew Bledsoe, Ethan Bledsoe and Jerry York will serve as pallbearers.
