Mr. Glenn Edward Lawhorn, age 78, of Grahn, Kentucky, passed away Monday, October 10, 2022 at his residence.
He was born Friday, June 23, 1944, in Carter County, Kentucky, to the late George and Ida Fisher Lawhorn.
Glenn retired from Louisville Fire Brick with 41 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to auctions, loafing at Hick’s Auto Parts and spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 51 years, Francis Kay Prichard Lawhorn; one daughter, Valerie Stevens and two infant grandchildren.
Glenn is survived by three daughters, Annette (Eddie) Holbrook of Grahn, Kentucky, Barbara Cordle of Olive Hill, Kentucky, Deborah Lawhorn (Brandon Davis) of Ashland, Kentucky; fourteen grandchildren; twenty nine great-grandchildren; one son in law, Mickey Stevens of Morehead, Kentucky, along with many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, October 13, 2022 at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Kentucky with Brother Tommy Barker officiating. Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans North East Cemetery in Greenup County, Kentucky with full Military Honors conducted at the grave site by Kenova American Legion Post 93.
Friends may visit from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 and after 9 a.m. on Thursday, October 13, 2022 until the service hour at Globe Funeral Chapel Kentucky, 17277 West Highway US 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164.
Eddie Holbrook, Brandon Davis, Corey Tolliver, Ricky Hamm, Chris Wilburn, and Peyton Cordle will serve as pallbearers.
