Mr. James “Jim” Ronald Cline, age 73, of Grayson, Kentucky, formally of Olive Hill, Kentucky went to be with the Lord, February 19, 2023 at Ashland Community Hospice surrounded by his loving family.
Jim was adored by all. He always had a smile on his face and could bring a smile and laugh to anyone. His friends and family will miss him beyond words, but grateful for the many years they were blessed with him and for the hope of eternal life. Jim was baptized in 2012 surrounded by his children and grandchildren.
Jim previously worked and retired from AK Steele after 25 years. After he retired, he pursued a degree as a surgery tech, graduated top of his class and worked at St. Claire Hospital for 6 years. Jim also worked dispatch for ABLE Medical Transport for 5 years, served as Fire Chief for many years with the Olive Hill Fire Department and coached countless Little League baseball teams for over 30 years. Regardless of the good or bad years, Jim was an avid and loyal UK, Cincinnati Reds and Bengals fan.
Jim is proceeded in death by his mother, Dessie Stephens Cline and father, Paul Cline; sisters Charolotte Cline, Kay Baker and Shelia Bales. He is survived by his loving wife, Martha, of 55 years; daughter Cynde (Mike) Akers; sons, Paul (Angie) Cline, and Jimmy (Monica) Cline, all of Grayson. Jim is also survived by his grandchildren and great grandchildren who he adored, Lexie (Tyler) Clay, Trey (Jalyssa) Cline, Abbey Akers, Trevor Cline, Tate Akers, Brooklen Akers, Marshall Clay, and Wren Cline; sisters, Marie Sublett, Margaret Carlson, Donna Cordle, Brenda Cline and Diana Carroll.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at the Grayson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 49 McCoy Road, Grayson, Kentucky with Brother Bradley Cotten officiating. Burial will follow in the Garvin Ridge Cemetery, Olive Hill, Kentucky.
Friends may visit from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at the Grayson Funeral Home & Cremation Services and after 9 a.m., Wednesday, February 22, 2023 until the service hour.
Trey Cline, Trevor Cline, Tate Akers, Tyler Clay, Marshall Clay, Adam Moore and Randy Perry will serve as pallbearers.
