Joan Yvonne Crockett, age 71, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2026, at UK-St. Claire Health Care in Morehead, Kentucky, surrounded by her four children by her side, after a long illness.
She was born September 12, 1954, in Youngstown, Ohio, a daughter of the late Claude and Dessie Binion Peach Crockett.
Joan was a devoted member of Limestone Apostolic Church and loved attending church. She was the happiest when she was going to church, and she loved being at home with her little dogs, Coco and Little Bit.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, George Emanual Mayle and several brothers and sisters.
Joan is survived by two sons, George Junior Mayle of Rush, Kentucky, Loren Joseph Mayle of Olive Hill, Kentucky; two daughters, Malisa Lucas of Olive Hill, Kentucky, Loretta Sue Mayle McCarty of Clearfield, Kentucky; grandchildren including Gregory Waugh, Candace Waugh, Joshua Waugh, Brittany Waugh, Sean Slone, Kali Runyon, and Triston Runyon; along with 14 grandchildren; and 8 geat-greatgrandchildren; one brother, Roger Crockett of Columbia, South Carolina; one sister, Pauline Mitts of Inwood, West Virginia, along with many other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Thursday, April 2, 2026 at Limestone Apostolic Church in Olive Hill, Kentucky with Brother Rick Crank officiating.
Friends may visit after 11:30 a.m., Thursday, April 2, 2026, until the service hour at the church.
