Larry Garnett “Joe” Henderson, age 73, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at Adena Regional Medical Center.
He was born Saturday, November 19,1952, in Carter County, Kentucky, a son of the late Garnett “Sugarfoot” and Gertrude Workman Henderson.
Joe enjoyed driving and working on fast cars; smoking and drinking coffee; loafing and hanging out with his friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by Brent Stevens, whom he raised as his son; four brothers, Lonnie Henderson, William Henderson, Dany Henderson, Sherman “Eckie” Henderson; three sisters, Brenda Henderson, Malinda Henderson and Donna Henderson.
Joe is survived by Phillip Stevens, Richard Stevens, whom he raised as his sons; several nieces and nephews; special caretaker, Levi McDowell, along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, September 28, 2026, at Globe Funeral Chapel 17277 West US Hwy 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky, with Brother Jeff Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery in Carter County.
Friends may visit after 11:30 a.m., Monday, September 28, 2026, until the service hour at the funeral home.
Eddie Stevens, Danny Henderson Jr, Josh Henderson, Nathan Henderson, Jeremy Henderson and Robbie Stevens will serve as pallbearers.
