Mrs. Lillian Skaggs Jordan, age 78, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Friday, June 4, 2021, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky.
She was born February 17, 1943, in Elliott County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Willard and Bertha Stone Skaggs.
Lillian was retired from Cowdens and Ashland Sales as a seamstress, after over 40 years of service. She enjoyed gardening, canning and cooking for her children and grandchildren, but most of all she loved when they came to visit. Lillian also enjoyed working in her flowers, especially her favorite rosebushes.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Robert Allen Gilliam and Billy Joe Gilliam; one step son, Paul Christopher Jordan; and one brother, Arthur Skaggs, and one sister, Virgie Burchett.
Lillian is survived by her husband of 14 years, Paul Jordan; one step son, Daniel Jordan of Olive Hill, Kentucky; one daughter, Glenna Gilliam of Olive Hill, Kentucky; one step daughter, Pam Jordan of Morehead, Kentucky; three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one brother, Emory Skaggs of Olive Hill, Kentucky; and one sister, Loretta Dailey of Olive Hill, Kentucky. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Kentucky, with Brother Landon Copley officiating. Interment will follow in the Jordan Family Cemetery on Route 3298 in Olive Hill, Kentucky.
Friends may visit from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, June 7, 2021, at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Highway 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
