Mrs. Linda Fay Skaggs Burchett, age 75, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at her residence in Olive Hill, Kentucky surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Saturday, May 24, 1947, in Elliott County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Henry Thurman and Opal Stone Skaggs.
She loved watching UK Basketball, cooking for her family, gardening and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Harold David “Dave” Burchett; four children, Ronnie Burchett, Scotty Burchett, Heather Burchett, and Jason Burchett; one grandson, Kyle Isaac; one brother, Wayne Skaggs; two sisters, Barbara Kilgore, and Vivian Skaggs.
Linda is survived by two sons, David Keith Burchett (Anna) and Rick Burchett, all of Olive Hill, Kentucky; three daughters, Sheila Bradley (Tim) and Tanya Isaac (Alan), all of Olive Hill, Kentucky, and Angela Poole (Brian) of Huntington, West Virginia; fifteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one sister Janice (Rick) Barker of Olive Hill, Kentucky She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 30, 2022, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Kentucky, with Brother Ronald Logan and Brother Steve Madden officiating. Burial will follow in the Burchett-Dailey Cemetery in Olive Hill, Kentucky.
Friends may visit from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 29, 2022, and after 9 a.m. Friday, at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West Highway U.S. 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
