Mary Lou Lawson Fielding

1938-2020

Mrs. Mary Lou Lawson Fielding, age 82, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Friday morning, August 7, 2020, at the Life Care Center in Morehead, Kentucky.

She was born March 12, 1938, in Carter County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Russell and Tina Sammons Lawson.

Mary Lou was of the Christian faith and she was a homemaker. She enjoyed going to church, sewing and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lovell “Dexter” Fielding Sr.; one son, Butch Fielding; one granddaughter, Bethany Anderson; six brothers, June Lawson, Billy Lawson, Gene Lawson, Harold Lawson, John Lawson, and Jack Lawson; two sisters, Opal Sparks and Betty Logan; and one son-in-law, Rick Webb.

Mary Lou is survived by one daughter, Sonni Fielding Webb of Olive Hill, Kentucky; seven grandchildren, Ryan Dexter Fielding, Michael Lonan, Christy Fielding, Shona Fielding, Kimberly Fielding Pugh (Aaron), Rona Brown Scott (Alphonzo) and Shane Webb; 10 great grandchildren, McKenzie Fielding, Damien Blevins, Nola Garris, Grace Burton, Zoe Scott, Zayden Scott, Zya Scott, Zion Scott, Lily Burton, and Lukas Garris; two great-great grandchildren, Kai Scott and Karter Scott; and one brother, Wayne Lawson (Maxine) of Olive Hill, Kentucky. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, August 11, 2020, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Kentucky, with Brother David Rayburn officiating. Burial will follow in the Tick Ridge Cemetery in Olive Hill, Kentucky.

Friends may visit from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, August 11, 2020, at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West Highway US 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164.

Shane Webb, Ryan Fielding, Michael Lonon, Zion Scott, Damien Blevins, John Lawson Jr., and Phillip Lawson will serve as pallbearers.

Due to COVID-19 regulations, we ask that everyone wear a mask and practice social distancing.
