Mrs. Mary Magdalene Marshall Kitchen, age 82, of Grayson, Kentucky, went home to be with her Lord, Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Friday, December 20, 1940, in Beetle, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Rosco and Ethel Salyers Marshall.
She was a member of Mt. Chapel United Baptist Church.
Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She enjoyed traveling, taking photos, antique shopping and being with her family. She was long time member of the Leon Homemaker’s Club.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Joseph D. Kitchen, who passed away July 9, 2021; two brothers, Raymond Marshall and Ishmel Marshall; two sisters, Clara Pennington and Ruby Justice; two infants, Lenvil Marshall and Emma Marshall.
Mary leaves behind, three sons, Roger (Pam) Kitchen, Mike (Teresa) Kitchen, and Jeff (Gina) Kitchen all of Grayson, Kentucky; one daughter Angie (Paul) Cline of Grayson, Kentucky; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and one on the way; two brothers Lonnie (Cleo) Marshall of Dayton, Ohio and Clayton Marshall of Grayson, Kentucky; one sister Imogene (John) Adams of Tipp City, Ohio. She also leaves behind many other family members and friends who sadly mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 9, 2023 at Grayson Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 49 McCoy Road, Grayson, Kentucky with Elder Dwight Flaugher and Elder Scott Baier officiating. Burial will follow in the East Carter Memory Gardens.
Friends may visit from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday, January 8, 2023 and after 9:00 a.m., Monday, January 9, 2023 and until the service hour, at Grayson Funeral Home.
Pallbearers consist of her six grandsons, Josh Kitchen, Ryan Kitchen, Trey Cline, Alex Kitchen, Trevor Cline and Isaiah Kitchen.
