1921-2020
Mr. Oscar Hall, age 99, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Friday, December 11, 2020, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky.
He was born September 4, 1921, in Carter County, Kentucky, a son of the late Seble and Hattie Henderson Hall.
Oscar was a member of the Garvin Ridge Wesleyan Church, the Olive Hill Masonic Lodge and proudly served our country in the United States Army Air Corps during WWII. He was retired from General Refractories and enjoyed mowing grass, fishing, working on small engines and spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Audra Lee McComis Hall; one son, David Hall; two brothers, John Hall and Ralph Hall; and two sisters, Ruth PSimer and Sereda Williams.
Oscar is survived by two sons, Kevin Hall (Janie) of Olive Hill, Kentucky and Keith Hall (Bonita) of Franklin, Indiana; seven grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Kentucky, with Brother J.C. Bond officiating. Interment will follow in the Garvin Ridge Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, December 14, 2020, and after 9 a.m. on Tuesday, at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Highway 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky.
Shawn Hall, Randy Steagall, Ben Hall, Troy Conn, Tony James and Ronnie Buckler will serve as pallbearers.
