Mrs. Phyllis Kelly Hovatter, age 81, of Ashland, Kentucky, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at Carter Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Grayson, Kentucky.
She was born Saturday, August 23, 1941, in Hitchens, Kentucky a daughter of the late Ralph Kelly and Louise Huff Kelly Campbell.
Phyllis was a Christian, she enjoyed staying home and studying her Bible, and sharing God’s word with others. She was a beautician for many years.
Phyllis is survived by one son, Ralph (Wilma) Whitt of Grayson, Kentucky; two granddaughters, Sarah Whitt and Leigh Ann Wilcox (Michael); two great grandchildren, Chase Wilcox and Dylan Wilcox all of Grayson, Kentucky; one brother, Randy (Wendy) Kelly of Cincinnati, Ohio; three sisters, Janie (Sie) Stewart of Point Pleasant, West Virginia, Elva (Bud) Stamper of Olive Hill, Kentucky and Kathy Wood of Grayson, Kentucky; a special friend, Allen Stamper of Ashland, Kentucky, along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss her.
Graveside services will be held 6 p.m., Thursday, April 20, 2023, at the JR OUAM Cemetery in Olive Hill, Kentucky, with her family officiating. Burial will follow in the JR OUAM Cemetery.
