Robert Carson Bradshaw

1928-2024

Robert Carson Bradshaw, age 96, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at Elliott Nursing and Rehabilitation in Sandy Hook, Kentucky.

He was born Wednesday, January 18, 1928, in Carter County, Kentucky, to the late Loyal and Birtha King Bradshaw.

Robert proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Staff Sargent during the Korean War Conflict and was an employee of General Motors for more than 31 years. He was a master mechanic and enjoyed mowing grass, spending vacations camping, hunting and fishing with his son-in-law, Gary. He was a really good man, kind and easy going, a loving husband, father and grandpa.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 70 years, Orella “Faye” Nolen Bradshaw; three brothers, Benny Bradshaw, Charles Bradshaw, Elwood Bradshaw; five sisters, Vivian Gee, Thelma Janice Bradshaw, Wanda Montgomery, Mable Felty and infant, Velan Bradshaw.

He is survived by two sons, Carson (Yolanda) Bradshaw of Brandon, Florida, Allen (Rita) Bradshaw of Mansfield, Ohio; one daughter, Debra (Gary) Maddix of Olive Hill, Kentucky; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss him.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Olive Hill Memorial Park, Olive Hill, Kentucky, with Brother David Rayburn officiating.

Military Honors will be conducted at the graveside by American Legion Post 138.
