Sarah Elizabeth Patrick Walker

1937-2022

Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Patrick Walker, age 84, of Olive Hill, Kentucky passed away, Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at Community Hospice in Boyd County.

She was born November 25, 1937 in Logan County, West Virginia a daughter of the late Oakley and Delpha Earl Patrick.

Elizabeth was a strong Christian woman who loved the Lord. She taught elementary school for over 29 years in Carter County School System. She enjoyed shopping with her best friend, Phyllis, attending gospel singings, family reunions, sewing, cooking meals for her family and caring for the many types of beautiful flowers around her home.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by the love of her life of 60 years, her husband, Elmer Walker; six brothers, Frank Patrick, Paul Patrick, Pete Patrick, Jack Patrick, Rush Patrick and Virgil Patrick; four sisters, Blanche Morgan, June Abrams, Ruby Alcoe, and Ruth Morgan.

Elizabeth is survived by two sons; Jeff (Pam) Walker of Port Orange, Florida, Jon (Wanda) Walker of Olive Hill, Kentucky; two daughters, Fonda (Steve) Duncan of Murray, Kentucky and Trish (Mike) Hoy of Bebee Arkansas; eleven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews as well as many other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Kentucky with Brother Clyde Holbrook and Brother Mikey Hatton officiating. Burial will follow in the Patrick-Walker Family Cemetery in Olive Hill, Kentucky.

Friends may visit on Saturday, May 7, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US HWY 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky.

Family will serve as pallbearers.
