Talmadge Christopher Rayburn, age 57, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2023, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky.
He was born Wednesday, August 25, 1965, in Boyd County, Kentucky to the late Talmadge and Linda Lou Wilson Rayburn.
Chris was a member of Local 181, where he was a dozer operator. He enjoyed golfing, farming, watching Nascar, cooking and spending time with his family and friends.
Chris is survived by two sons, Ryan (Amanda) Rayburn of Sandy Hook, Kentucky, Samuel Rayburn of Olive Hill, Kentucky; one daughter, Kia Rayburn of Troy, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Emry Rayburn, Cora Ann Ferguson and Hannah Ferguson; one brother, David (Joy) Rayburn of Olive Hill, Kentucky; two sisters, Cindy (Dean) Blair of Sanford, North Carolina, Lori (Duane) Dehart of Morehead, Kentucky, along with many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Globe Christian Church, 79 Church Drive, Olive Hill, Kentucky with Brother Dewayne Wilson, Brother David Rayburn and Brother Aaron Rayburn officiating. Burial will follow in the Rayburn Cemetery, Flat Fork, Kentucky.
Friends may visit from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 17, 2023 and after 10 a.m. until the service hour on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Globe Christian Church.
Chris Knipp Jr., Donnie Owens Jr., Jerry Minor, Duane Dehart, Samuel Rayburn, Ryan Rayburn, Ben Dehart, Dean Blair, Drew Blair will serve as pallbearers.
