Mrs. Carol Bryant Stapleton, age 78, of Flatwoods, Kentucky, formerly of Olive Hill, Kentucky passed away Saturday, August 19, 2023 at her residence.
She was born Saturday, November 25, 1944 in Lexington, Kentucky, a daughter of the late William Harold and Ellen Knipp Bryant.
Carol was of Baptist faith. She loved cross-stitching, gardening, working in her flowers, and spending time with her dog, Otis.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, John Allen Stapleton; one brother, Terry Bryant.
Those left to cherish her memory, are her two daughters, Elisabeth (Terry) Vest of Russell, Kentucky and Debbie (Keith) Holcomb of Blackshear, Georgia; her brother, Johnny (Trish) Bryant of Nicholasville, Kentucky; her sister, Jackie (Jimmy) Griffey of LaFayette, Georgia; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; along with many other family members and friends who will mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be held 12 noon, Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Hwy 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky with Brother Ken Gowin officiating.
Burial will follow at the Roar Cemetery in Grahn, Kentucky.
Friends may visit from 10:30a.m. until the service hour on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Kentucky.
Tyler Vest, Landon Lauder, Chris Bryant, Jonathan Bryant, Jason Griffey, and Richard Knipp will serve as pallbearers.
