Cathy was a dedicated Christian woman who couldn’t wait to meet Jesus. She attended Smith Creek Church in Olive Hill, Kentucky and loved her church family.
She worked as a dietary manager for several nursing homes where she truly loved and cared for the patients and her work family.
She was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother, was loved by everyone she met and she never knew a stranger.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Charles Gene Church; three brothers, Owen Thomas Ingram, Charles Victor Bentley and Andew Bentley; three sisters, Loretta Bentley, Vickie Elaine Bentley, Betty Ruth Reffitt .
Cathy is survived by three daughters, Rebecca (Mark) Strickland of Franklin Furnace, Ohio, Jeanie (Chris) Arthur of Ironton, Ohio and Connie Church of South Point, Ohio; four grandchildren, Courtney (Zach) Flint, Aaron Strickland, Charles (Katrina) Arthur, Katherine (Zach) Slone; two great grandchildren, Audrey and Alex Flint; five brothers, Jessie Ray Bentley of South Point, Ohio, and Bobby Joe Bentley of Coal Grove, Ohio, Roy Gene Bentley and Troy Dean Bentley both of South Point, Ohio, Keith Wilson of Ashland, Kentucky; three sisters, Shirley Ann Wilson of Ashland, Kentucky, Ollie Elizabeth Church of Coal Grove, Ohio, Lora Bernice Anson of Ironton, Ohio, along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Monday, August 7, 2023, at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Hwy 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky, with Brother Gary Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in the Bentley Cemetery.
Friends may visit after 11:30 a.m., Monday, August 7, 2023, until the service hour at Globe Funeral Chapel.
