Mr. Charles Hurston Morgan, age 92, of Grayson KY, went to be with his Lord and Savior, June 13, 2023.
He was born Friday Nov. 20, 1930, the son of the late Wilson Morgan and Edith (Dowdy) Morgan. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Donna Jean Morgan; one brother, Clayton Morgan, and brother in law, Gary Wallace.
Charles is survived by his speical friend and son, Chanc of Grayson; sisters Donna Kay Wallace of Lawrenceburg TN and Lynn Caldwell (Jerry) of Lebanon, TN; his nephews, Joshua Wallace (Wendy), Jonathan Caldwell, Stephen Caldwell (Paige). His great nephews, Josiah and Tobias; great nieces, Jana Lynn (Chris) and Leighann, and great great nieces, CayleeMae and ElsieRae, all of Tennessee.
He was a retired truck driver and earned several million mile awards over his career. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was most happy spending time with his friends and family, working outside and being a mechanic, as well as attending various churches and playing music.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, June 20th 2023, at Grayson Funeral Home and Cremation Services (49 McCoy Road, Grayson, Ky) with Brother Gary Sparks officiating. Burial will follow at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery NE.
Friends may visit from 6-8 p.m., Monday, June 19th 2023, and after 9 a.m. Tuesday, June 20th until service hour.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
