Mr. Clyde Carpenter, age 72, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, June 10, 2023, at St. Claire Medical Center, Morehead, Kentucky surrounded by his loving family.
He was born June 30, 1950, in Carter County, Kentucky, a son of the late Henderson and Mae Wilson Carpenter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Junior Carpenter, Paul Carpenter, Dennis Carpenter; three sisters, Arvetta Carpenter, Mandy Henderson, and Garnett Duncan.
Clyde was a masonary and carpenter. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his fiancé, Debbie Boggs; one son, Clyde ‘CJ’ (Rose) Carpenter Jr. of Olive Hill, Kentucky; one daughter, Melanie (Jeremy) Carpenter Perry of Olive Hill, Kentucky; Angel Boggs, whom he raised as his daughter, of Olive Hill, Kentucky; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one brother, James Louie (Marleen) Carpenter of Lexington, Kentucky; two sisters, Ida Marie Reynolds and Gracie Carpenter, both of Olive Hill, Kentucky along with a host of other family members and friends who will sadly mourn his passing.Special thanks to his neices, Shirley Brown and Anita Lewis, nephew, Rick Carpenter, great nephew, Nathan Carpenter for always being there.
Graveside services will be held 6 p.m., Friday, June 16, 2023, at the Carpenter Family Cemetery, on Tick Ridge in Olive Hill, Kentucky with Brother Michael King officiating.
