Ms. Delores Jane Prichard Qualls, age 90, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2022, at St. Claire Healthcare Center.
She was born June 14, 1932, in Carter County, Kentucky to Homer and Dempsey Stephens Prichard.
She was an active member and leader of many organization: a member of the First Baptist Church of Olive Hill where she served as Church Trustee and a member of the church choir, she volunteered with Globe Christian Church Soup at Six, she served as the treasurer for Carter County Extension District Board for many years, a member of Carter County Extension Council, past chairman of the Olive Hill Housing Authority, served as the treasurer for Carter County Extension Homemakers for 20 plus years, a member of Grahn School Community Center Board of Directors, and she served on the Northeast Area Extension Homemaker, she was a member of Eastern Star, a volunteer at Grahn School Community Center, a member of the Kentucky Extension Homemakers Choir, and she was the owner and operator of the former Corner Market.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Prichard.
She is survived by one son, Michael “Chuck” (Maguana) Qualls of Carrollton, Kentucky; one daughter, Cathy Jane (Michael) Offill of Olive Hill, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Amy (Abe) Offill of Lexington, Kentucky, Jesse (Natalie) Offill of Owensboro, Kentucky, Jacob (Emily) of Lexington, Kentucky, Donnie (Mikayla) Qualls, David (Haley) Qualls, of Arlington, Virginia and Joe Carhart of Carrollton, Kentucky, seven great grandchildren; one brother, Jack “Douglas” (Betty) Prichard of Franklin, Ohio; one sister Judy Joyce Rice of Olive Hill, Kentucky, along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss her.
A memorial services will be held at 6 p.m., Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at First Baptist Church in Olive Hill, Kentucky with Brother Gary Sparks and Brother Landon Copley officiating.
Friends may visit after 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at the First Baptist Church in Olive Hill, Kentucky.
