1936-2021
Mr. Escue Mauk, age 85, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Friday morning, May 21, 2021, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
He was born January 29, 1936, in Carter County, Kentucky, a son of the late Tom and Jesse Middleton Mauk.
Escue was of the Apostolic faith, and retired from Pipeline Local Union #798. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, listening to Bluegrass music and spending time with his family, especially his great-great grandson, Jaxson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his one son, David Mauk.
Escue is survived by four daughters, Diana Brown and Karen Gilbert both of Olive Hill, Kentucky, Brenda Davidson of Defiance, Ohio, and Melissa Mauk of Olive Hill, Kentucky; eight grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Dallas Mauk of Belleville, Ohio, and Tommy Mauk of Mansfield, Ohio; and he also leaves behind, the mother of his children, Yvonne Mosier Mauk Durrance of Olive Hill, Kentucky, and many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral service will be held 12 noon, Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Kentucky, with Brother David Kiser officiating.
Friends may visit from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West Highway US 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164.
At the request of Mr. Mauk, cremation will follow after the funeral service.
