Mrs. Frances Gayle Roseberry Conkwright, age 76, of Olive Hill, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, May 22, 2023 at the Community Hospice Center in Ashland, Kentucky, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Thursday, May 1, 1947, in Carter County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Grover and Opal Rayburn Roseberry.
Frances was a Christian for over 32 years and a member of the Bairtown Church of God. Her passion was helping others whether it be sitting with the sick or kneeling to pray with them. She was always a phone call away and always willing to help in anyway she could! She loved spending time and vacationing with her sisters and nieces. She was a long time employee of the Rowan County Ambulance Service, that was one of the may ways of her once again helping those in need.
She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. When she became sick and unable to attend church she was always listening to the service via telephone. Her first question when someone came to visit was“did you bring your guitar” and always asking for prayers when visiting with her. Heaven gained a sweet angel but her family, church family and community will sadly miss her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Juanita Belle Boggs; one brother, David Roseberry; four sisters, Wanda Jean Roseberry, Karen Burchett, Janet Roseberry and Mary Logan.
Frances is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Leonard Conkwright; one daughter, Anita (Jamie) Wagner of Olive Hill, Kentucky; two stepsons, Ben Conkwright and Brian Conkwright both of Winchester, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Nathaniel (Ashley) Wagner, Connor Wagner and Annaclaire Elizabeth Wagner; one step granddaughter; two step great-granddaughters; two brothers, Phillip (Regina) Roseberry of Frankfort, Kentucky; Lewis (Debbie) Roseberry of Morehead, Kentucky; three sisters, Violet Markwell of Olive Hill, Kentucky, Etta (Jeff) Zornes of Emerson, Kentucky and Kathy (Elijah) Wagoner of Olive Hill, Kentucky along with many nieces, nephews and other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Hwy 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky with Brother Johnny Moore, Brother Justin Wagoner and Brother Elijah Wagoner officiating. Burial will follow in the Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Friends may visit after 11 a.m., Saturday, May 27, 2023 until the service hour at Globe Funeral Chapel.
Nathaniel Wagner, Jason Wagoner, Derrick Logan, Lewis McCraw, Keegan Mooney, David Skinner, Ryan Buckler, Michael Straka will serve as pallbearers.
Lewis Roseberry, Phil Roseberry, Jeff Zornes, Martin Boggs, Garry Allen Harper, Jeff Burchett, George Boggs and Jamison Wagoner will serve as honorary pallbearers.
