Mrs. Garnett Bryant Stamper, age 87, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2022 at St Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.
She was born Thursday, May 23, 1935, in Carter County to the late Cecil and Stella Duncan Bryant.
Garnett attended First Christian Church in Olive Hill, Kentucky for many years. She was a talented artist, and loved to paint, write poetry, listen to music, cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Kenneth Stamper; one brother, Bill Bryant; one sister, Pauline Nolen.
Garnett is survived one son, David Stamper and his wife, Debra of Midland, Michigan; one daughter, Dana Stamper Nemeth of Harrodsburg, Kentucky; six grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara James of Belleville, Ohio and Alberta Callihan and her husband, Tom of Olive Hill, Kentucky along with many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Graveside services will be held 3 p.m., Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at Bethel Cemetery in Olive Hill, Kentucky with Brother Dave Shaklin officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Cemetery.
