Mr. Gene Swanigan, age 81, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at St. Claire Healthcare in Morehead, Kentucky.
He was born June 12, 1940, in Peebles, Ohio, a son of the late Charles and Ruth Gorman Swanigan.
Gene enjoyed spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, Harold Swanigan, Ted Swanigan, Wilford Swanigan, Kenneth Swanigan, James Swanigan, and Arthur Swanigan, and three sisters, Louise Pugh, Elaine Ash and Betty Hamm.
Gene is survived by his life long companion of 45 years, Debra Puckett of Olive Hill, Kentucky; five sons, William Swanigan (Katie) of Vanceburg, Kentucky, George Walters and Wayne Puckett, both of Olive Hill, Kentucky, Tom Fultz (Rhonda) of Tennessee, and Kevin Fultz of Ohio; five daughters, Christine Raifsnider of Olive Hill, Kentucky, Rogenea Tucker (Lane), Michelle Wiesen, and Lena Little, all of Ohio, and Loganna Keys (Chuck) of Tennessee; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; one brother, Jackie Swanigan (Karen) of Ohio; two sisters, Sue Springston of Ohio, and Cathy Frasure of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces and nephews. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
