Mr. James Paul Douglas, age 65, of Olive Hill, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, June 25, 2023, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Friday, October 18, 1957, in Carter County, Kentucky, to the late Estill Douglas and Jennett Jessie Hinton.
Jimmy was a member of the Dry Branch Church of God. He enjoyed hunting, farming, bush hogging, mowing and spending time with his family, especially his grandson, J.P.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Margaret Douglas; one brother in law, John Brown; one sister in law, Kim Brown; fathers in law, Buck Stevens and Vernon Brown and mother in law, Eula Brown Stevens.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Teresa Brown Douglas; one son, Nathan (Macayla) Douglas of Olive Hill, Kentucky; one daughter, Devenia Douglas of Olive Hill, Kentucky; one grandson, J.P. Douglas; one sister, Mary Ann Brown of Morehead, Kentucky, along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, June 30, 2023, at Dry Branch Church of God, Olive Hill, Kentucky with Brother Clifford “Tippy” Price, Brother Roger Cline, Brother Steve Madden officiating. Burial will follow in the Bradley Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, June 29, 2023, at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Hwy 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky, and after 10 a.m., Friday, June 30, 2023, until the service hour at Dry Branch Church of God.
Jimmy’s family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
