Mrs. Janet Irene Pennington Walker, age 82, of Grayson, Kentucky passed away Friday, August 19, 2022 at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky.
She was born Thursday, May 2, 1940, in Carter County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Estill “Eck” and Clara Marshall Pennington.
Janet enjoyed cooking, traveling, shopping and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of sixty-two years, Carl Wesley “Wes” Walker; one brother, Luther Pennington; two sisters, Clara Bell Pennington and Phyllis Porter.
She is survived by two sons, Rick Walker of Willard, Kentucky and Rock Walker of Grayson, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Rachael Walker of Willard, Kentucky, Ryan Walker of Grayson, Kentucky; two great-grandchildren, Kadin Criswell of Grayson, Kentucky, Dylan Rivers of Willard, Kentucky; two brothers, Charles (Cheryl) Pennington of Wheelersburg, Ohio and Johnny (Shelia) Pennington of Grayson, Kentucky; one sister, Sue (Ron) Baker of Thornville, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 24 , 2022 at Grayson Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Grayson, Kentucky with Brother Paul Castle
and Brother Louie Baier officiating. Burial will follow in the East Carter Memory Gardens in Grayson, Kentucky.
Friends may visit from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 and after 9 a.m. until the service hour on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at Grayson Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 49 McCoy Road, Grayson, Kentucky.
Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
