Jearlean Stevens Roar, age 87, of Grayson, Kentucky passed away Monday, December 26, 2022 at Boyd County Nursing Home in Ashland, Kentucky.
She was born January 31, 1935 in Carter County, Kentucky a daughter of the late Joseph and Vicie Mosier Stevens.
Jearlean was a member for 30 plus years at Clifty United Baptist Church. She was a cook for several years at Grahn Elementary & West Carter High School. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-five years, Raymond Roar; one brother, Artlie Stevens, one sister, Clessie Stevens.
She is survived by two sons, Danny (Kathy) Roar of Grayson, Kentucky and David Roar of Ashland, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Davina Herron Roar and Brett Roar both of Ashland, Kentucky; one great grandchild, Aleia Herron.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Friday, December 30, 2022 at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 US Hwy. 60 West, Olive Hill, Kentucky with Brother David Barker officiating. Burial will follow in the Roar Cemetery in Grahn, Kentucky.
Friends may visit from 10 a.m. until the service hour on Friday, December 30, 2022 at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Kentucky.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
